Construction

We offer quality training across five skill areas - carpentry and joinery, painting & decorating, bricklaying, electrical installations and plumbing - delivered in purpose built workshops designed to provide our students with a realistic working environment.

All training focuses on acquiring the practical skills along with the technical knowledge that the industry demands. Important aspects of all courses are Health & Safety training and all three Key Skill areas; Communication, Application of Number and Information Communication Technology. We are forming strong links with local employers and businesses providing opportunities for students to get an Apprenticeship and attain an NVQ.

The realistic and practical approach they have to working in the construction industry.

What course did you choose?
NVQ Level 2 Plumbing

What aspect of the course have you particularly enjoyed?

What is the best thing about studying at West Kent College?
I have already secured an Apprenticeship at a really good local firm and am looking forward to learning more on both domestic and commercial jobs. One day I’d like to move to New Zealand and run my own plumbing firm.
